The research mission of the National Institute of Public Health is the "Analysis of infectious, environmental and behavioural   health risks and their prevention". This is divided into four sections (containing a total of 35 specific aims):            

1.    Analysis of behavioural health risks and their prevention
2.    Prevention, diagnostic and therapy of serious and new or recurrent infectious diseases
3.    Environmental health hazards
4.    Occupational exposure health risks
